The acclaimed Michelin Guide finally arrived in Mexico in 2024 and awarded more than 150 restaurants nationwide with 18 Michelin Stars. In the state of Quintana Roo, three establishments received a Star1 after demonstrating mastery in culinary techniques and achieving harmony of flavors in their dishes.
As a destination, Tulum has grown exponentially in recent years and stood out with 9 restaurants recommended by the Michelin Guide2. A Positive Impact on Tourism is Expected
With the recent Stars awarded to restaurants in Quintana Roo, experts in the field say3 that this could be reflected in an increase of up to 12% in the tourism sector.
